Joe Hand Promotions, a distributor of live sports events to commercial businesses, has renewed its partnership with the Walt Disney Company’s ESPN to continue offering ESPN Plus events to subscribers.

The new multi-year deal will involve the distribution of seven ESPN Plus-branded channels, which will carry more than 2,200 events each year, including live college basketball games, at least 125 college football matches and athletic competitions from UFC, PGA Tour, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Wimbledon, the U.S. Open and more.

“Since launching this service in March 2021, we’ve continually raised the bar for what businesses can offer their sports-loving patrons,” said Joe Hand III, the President of Joe Hand Promotions. “This agreement ensures our hospitality customers have access to the largest multi-sport premium content package in the commercial marketplace today — making their venues the go-to spot for sports fans. We want to thank the team at ESPN for being great partners and for providing valuable content day-in, day-out to our customers.”

Commercial venues like bars, restaurants, casinos and hotels typically lack the broadband infrastructure needed to support live TV across all their screens while also juggling other parts of their operations like guest booking databases, point-of-sales registers and customer Wi-Fi access points.

Joe Hand Promotions uses a diversified offering of distribution points to make live events available to those clients, including satellite- and streaming-based delivery, depending on the needs of their enterprise and commercial subscribers.

The partnership with ESPN allows bars, restaurants, casinos, hotels and other public venues to offer pay-per-view events from ESPN Plus, as well as live athletic competitions that are not available on broadcast or cable TV.

Residential subscribers have access to ESPN Plus content through the ESPN Plus app for phones, tablets and smart TVs.
