Film and TV studio Happy Accidents has appointed Louise Oliver as its new Senior Vice President of International Sales — and she’s already putting together content distribution deals.

This week, Happy Accidents said it inked broadcast deals with with Comcast’s NBC Universal, Sky UK and Sky Italia; Rai Italia; Group M6 in France and others across Europe for shows like “Beyond Dutch,” which will also run on TV in Australia and New Zealand.

Oliver’s addition to the team marks a strategic move to grow international sales. Her previous work with RHI, Sonar, and Screen Media included acclaimed series such as “Taboo” and “Das Boot,” and she’s recognized for her success connecting standout content with global audiences.

With a growing slate of 19 titles, Happy Accidents has already landed 50 international deals across a mix of heartwarming Christmas stories, romantic comedies, and mysteries.

The studio’s lead holiday film is “A Christmas Less Travelled,” which stars Candace Cameron Bure and Eric Johnson and recently won the Epiphany Prize at the Movie Guide Awards. The film tells the story of a diner owner who, in trying to save her business by selling her late father’s vintage truck, finds a series of his recorded messages.

“The high volume of interest in our film slate is a testament to the wonderful movies that we’re sure audiences across Europe and the rest of the world will love,” said Happy Accidents Co-CEOs Holly Hines and Eric Jarboe. “Each title brings exceptional characters and strong storylines, whether that’s in the heartwarming rom com Barcelona, or a cozy mystery like A Pie to Die For.”

“Barcelona Mi Amor,” a Hallmark-bound romantic comedy, features Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams. The plot follows an American author whose novel becomes a hit in Spain—only for her to learn the book’s translator rewrote it entirely. Sparks fly as professional secrets and romantic entanglements unfold.

In the mystery genre, “A Pie to Die For” leads the slate, based on Joanne Fluke’s Hannah Swensen novels and starring Alison Sweeney, Barbara Niven, and Gabriel Hogan. Happy Accidents is also launching “The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries,” a new franchise starring Candace Cameron Bure and Aaron Ashmore, with three films scheduled through 2025.

Happy Accidents was co-founded by Holly A. Hines and Eric Jarboe and is based in Los Angeles.
