Roku has expanded beyond televisions and streaming boxes with the release of its first-ever smart projector for the U.S. market.

On Tuesday, Roku announced the launch of the Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1R Cube, which integrates Roku’s streaming operating system into a portable design aimed at indoor and outdoor use. The device is now available for purchase through Amazon.

The projector is built to accommodate a variety of environments, from at-home theater setups to backyard gatherings and camping trips. It supports projection sizes ranging from 40 to 150 inches, has integrated autofocus and auto keystone correction and comes bundled with a Roku remote for navigation.

“Whether you’re camping, grilling, or setting up a home theater, projectors have always promised a big-screen experience, but they often lacked the simplicity and smart connectivity that today’s viewers expect,” said Tom McFarland, the Vice President of Roku TV. “The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector changes that, combining Roku’s award-winning OS with effortless setup and access to thousands of movies, TV shows, and live channels.”

The device streams in 1080p full HD resolution with a rated brightness of 330 ANSI lumens. It includes dual 5-watt speakers for built-in sound and supports connections through WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI, USB and 3.5 mm audio out.

Roku is marketing the projector as part of its broader ecosystem strategy. The D1R Cube can connect wirelessly to Roku-branded speakers, soundbars, and subwoofers to create a fuller home theater experience. Users can also pair Bluetooth headphones for private listening and access controls through the Roku mobile app. Integration with Roku Smart Home devices enables on-screen notifications and monitoring, while Apple AirPlay compatibility allows streaming of content from iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

The projector runs on Roku’s operating system, which offers personalized home screens and access to thousands of streaming apps, including The Roku Channel, which features free movies, TV shows and more than 500 live channels.

Key features promoted by Roku include an intuitive setup, guided navigation, wireless audio pairing, Bluetooth private listening, and compatibility with Roku’s voice command functions.

The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1R Cube is available starting today on Amazon.com. Roku did not provide a suggested retail price in its announcement, but the Amazon page lists it for $250. When readers click or tap this link, the price falls to $180 with a clippable coupon.
