Political affairs network C-SPAN has announced the first slate of guests for its forthcoming conversation program “Ceasefire.”

The first episode debuts on Friday, October 10 and will feature sit-down conversations with former Vice President Mike Pence and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel during its first segment. A second segment will include a discussion with former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and Faiz Shakir, a former campaign advisor to Senator Bernie Sanders.

The show will be hosted by Dasha Burns, the White House Bureau Chief for Politico.

The weekly series will pair political leaders and lawmakers from opposing sides of the aisle — not to debate, but to explore how cooperation might address the country’s most urgent challenges. C-SPAN said the show is designed to serve as an alternative to combative and often heated cable news panels by creating space for solution-oriented conversations.

The new show comes as C-SPAN is readying the launch of its multiplex cable network on two streaming services: Google-owned YouTube TV and Disney’s Hulu with Live TV. Both are expected to debut C-SPAN’s three channels within the next few weeks.

C-SPAN is already offered on streaming service DirecTV, where it is available in “Signature” plans and the genre-based MyNews package.
