Fox News Media has hired veteran journalist Andrea Linares to serve as the anchor of a new one-hour news program for its Fox Noticias brand as the company readies the launch of standalone, digital-first programming in Spanish heading into next year.
Linares succeeds founding anchor Rachel Campos-Duffy, who will shift her focus to “Fox & Friends Weekend,” a forthcoming Fox News Book slated for release in 2026 and potential Fox Noticias digital specials. Katrina Campins and Julie Banderas will continue serving as rotating anchors on the program, the network said in a statement on Monday.
Senior Vice President John Sylvester said Linares’ experience and perspective will help strengthen the network’s connection with Latino viewers.
“We are very excited to welcome Andrea to our team on Fox Noticias and we are confident her reporting will resonate with our Latino audience,” Sylvester said.
Linares, a two-time Emmy nominee, brings more than a decade of broadcast experience across major Spanish-language newsrooms. “I am honored to join such a terrific team at Fox Noticias and Fox News to continue telling important stories that matter and impact the Hispanic community in South Florida and throughout the country,” she said in a statement.
Before joining Fox Noticias, Linares spent eight years at Televisa-Univision, where she anchored a daily two-hour newscast and interviewed political figures including then Senator Marco Rubio. Her earlier roles include anchoring for Univision’s Fusion TV, reporting for WSBS-TV (Channel 22) in Miami and serving as a general assignment reporter at WLTV (Channel 23), where she began her career. Linares is a graduate of the University of Miami.
Starting next year, Fox Noticias will debut a slate of digital-first programming intended to deepen engagement among Spanish-speaking audiences.
The network plans to launch a weekly digital video and audio series in February featuring extended interviews across politics, entertainment and sports. It will also introduce a one-minute rolling news update distributed multiple times per day across major digital, social and podcast platforms, along with a dedicated channel on WhatsApp.
Fox Noticias launched in October 2024 as a news programming block on Spanish-language sports network Fox Deportes. The brand also supports a Spanish-language news website, part of the overall Fox News Media digital portfolio that reaches nearly 200 million people each month across the website and social media.
