Get After It Media is consolidating two of its multicast networks as the company works to revamp its multi-platform distribution strategy.
The channels, Rev’n and the Action Channel, will be combined into a single offering called Rev’n Action, the company announced this week. The move will bring automotive-focused programming and action-oriented shows and movies to a single channel with a consolidated schedule, targeting audiences that are interested in motorsports, adventure and lifestyle programming.
Rev’n Action will feature a lineup that blends established automotive series such as “My Classic Car” and “Motorhead Garage” with outdoor programming including “Field and Stream” and “Jimmy Houston Outdoors,” along with combat sports and wrestling content from United Fight Alliance and other partners.
Executives at Get After It Media said the new schedule is designed to create a more-cohesive experience by aligning complementary genres and audience interests. A free, ad-supported streaming channel that offered programming from both networks has also been consolidated into a new stream with the same brand name.
The FAST channel will be incorporated into Heartland Plus (stylized as Heartland+), a forthcoming streaming platform that will serve as the digital home for several of the company’s properties, including The Heartland Network, Retro TV and Hasbro Legends.
“This multi-platform distribution strategy positions Rev’n Action as one of the most widely accessible independent action and automotive channels in the country, available to cord-cutters and streaming audiences across all major platforms and devices,” GAIM said in a statement.
