Fox Television Stations has promoted Tom Fleming to Executive Vice President of Ad Sales, giving the longtime company executive oversight of local, national and digital advertising sales across the station group.
Fleming assumes the role immediately and will report to Jack Abernethy, the Chief Executive Officer of Fox Television Stations, which is owned by Fox Corporation.
In the new position, Fleming will lead sales efforts tied to Fox’s local news operations, live sports programming and digital and streaming platforms. His responsibilities will include overseeing revenue strategy across Fox’s owned-and-operated television stations and associated digital products.
“Tom has contributed immensely to FTS’s ad sales success over the past 25 years and has established himself as a leader,” Abernethy said. “I am confident that his knowledge and expertise will continue to build value for our advertising partners across all of our platforms and deliver an even better service to our clients.”
Fleming is a 25-year veteran of Fox Television Stations: Since 2021, he has served as Senior Vice President of Fox Ad Sales, overseeing overall sales efforts for the company’s owned-and-operated stations, including local and national station sales.
He has also been part of the Fox Stations Sales team since its creation. In 2019, Fleming was named Senior Vice President of Fox Stations Sales, where he helped expand the group’s advertising products and revenue capabilities.
During his tenure in that role, Fleming launched FLX, Fox’s connected television advertising product, and helped lead Fox Stations Sales to record political revenue during the 2020 presidential election cycle, as well as record Super Bowl revenue in 2020 and 2023, according to the company.
Before becoming Senior Vice President of Fox Stations Sales, Fleming spent 18 years in various team management and executives sales roles within the organization. Prior to joining Fox’s owned-and-operated station group, he managed and sold Fox station inventory under the Petry Television umbrella.
