Fox Nation will premiere a two-part documentary on July 2 chronicling the creation of UFC Freedom 250, the service announced on Wednesday.
The documentary, “UFC Fight House: The Making of the Biggest Fight in History,” was produced by the UFC Originals team and follows UFC executives from the earliest planning stages through the staging of what the company describes as one of the most ambitious live events in its history.
The documentary will give combat sports fans an inside look at the planning and execution of the mixed martial arts promotion’s event on the South Lawn of the White House, which streamed last month on competing service Paramount Plus.
The series begins with an Oval Office meeting between UFC President and Chief Executive Officer Dana White and President Donald Trump before documenting months of logistical planning, site visits and production preparations required to transform the White House grounds into a venue capable of hosting a UFC event.
“More than a year ago, we set out to do the impossible — build the Octagon on the White House South Lawn — for the biggest and most historic event in sports history,” White said. “I can’t wait for fans to see the behind-the-scenes story of this event.”
The documentary follows UFC personnel as they travel between the organization’s Las Vegas headquarters and Washington, D.C., documenting private planning meetings, White House site inspections and production decisions. It also highlights security preparations, military flyovers, weather-related challenges and the final moments before Trump and White entered the event.
“We’re excited to partner with UFC to bring our subscribers an exclusive look behind one of the most ambitious live sporting events ever produced,” Lauren Petterson, the President of Fox Nation, said in a statement. “UFC Fight House showcases the incredible teamwork, innovation and perseverance that transformed an extraordinary idea into a historic event.”
In addition to behind-the-scenes footage of the production, the documentary includes exclusive interviews with Trump, White, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ivanka Trump, UFC Chief Content Officer Craig Borsari and UFC commentator Jon Anik. The series also follows participating fighters through their final preparations before entering the Octagon and captures their immediate reactions after their bouts, providing viewers with access beyond what was shown during the live broadcast.
The documentary is the latest original production from Fox Nation, Fox News Media’s subscription streaming service, which offers reality-based shows, lifestyle programming, entertainment content and original series alongside programming tied to Fox News personalities.
The service is widely available on connected TV platforms like Roku, Amazon’s Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV) and Apple TV, and in streaming marketplaces offered by Roku, Amazon, YouTube and others. Fox One, the company’s standalone streaming service that unlocks access to Fox News and other Fox channels, also offers a bundle that includes Fox Nation.
