The organizers of the inaugural Jupiter Festival for leaders in media, entertainment, sports and the creator economy have signed an arrangement with the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) that makes the organization a founding partner of the event, according to a statement on Monday.

The partnership will see IAB work with Jupiter Festival organizers to help develop the event’s programming, recruit speakers and encourage participation from its membership of more than 700 brands, agencies, publishers, advertising technology companies and digital platforms.

IAB will play a central role in shaping the event’s agenda, contributing expertise in areas including digital advertising, media, marketing technology and the creator economy. The collaboration is intended to position the festival as a forum where executives across multiple sectors can discuss the future of content creation, distribution and monetization.

William Mellis, the co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jupiter Festival Miami, said IAB’s participation reflects the growing convergence between media, entertainment and advertising as consumer habits continue to evolve.

“IAB has been at the forefront of digital advertising for decades, and its members represent the very executives Jupiter Festival was built to convene,” Mellis said. “At a moment when the lines between content, culture and entertainment are colliding faster than the industry can keep up, we are united by a shared conviction: the future of content must be led, not just observed.”

The partnership is expected to provide a new venue for networking and business development with executives from across the entertainment, sports and media industries, according to officials at IAB. David Cohen, the Chief Executive Officer of IAB, said the collaboration comes as the advertising and content industries continue adapting to changes in consumer behavior.

“Content as we know it has been permanently disrupted, and consumers have clearly spoken about what matters to them,” Cohen said. “The industry needs to lead this evolution, and Jupiter Festival is the platform where that leadership happens.”

IAB joins a growing list of founding partners for the event that also includes Boston Consulting Group and MCH Group.

The inaugural Jupiter Festival is expected to take place between October 6 and October 9 in Miami.
