The Walt Disney Company has looked within for its next Chief Financial Officer of Disney Entertainment Television.
In a social media post last week, Amit Ziv announced his promotion after serving as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Finance for Disney Entertainment Television since 2023.
In his prior role, iv oversaw financial planning and profit-and-loss management for ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney’s eight owned television stations, Freeform and the company’s children’s and family television networks.
Ziv joined Disney in January 2017 as Vice President of Strategy, Finance and Business Development at Freeform, the cable network formerly known as ABC Family. He moved to ABC Entertainment in April 2019 as Vice President of Strategy, Finance and Business Planning, overseeing financial performance, long-term planning and content deal strategy.
Before joining Disney, Ziv spent four years at premium television network EPIX, where he rose to Senior Vice President of Business Operations, Development and Strategy, focusing on distribution agreements. Earlier in his career, he served as Business Development Director at Madwood Studios and worked in media and entertainment advisory services at Ernst & Young.
