Comcast could put regional sports networks on Peacock
Comcast is exploring ways to offer its regional sports cable channels through the streaming service Peacock.
The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is a broadcast television network owned by Comcast and based in the United States. It operates NBC, NBC News, New England Cable News and 11 local NBC broadcast stations. NBC also programs digital broadcast networks Cozi TV and LXTV.

Around 23 million viewers watched cable or broadcast news coverage of the midterm election results on Tuesday evening.
Comcast says it will soon allow some Peacock subscribers to access a live feed of their local NBC station or affiliate.
Some customers though the service was similar to NFL Sunday Ticket, while others said they weren’t able to watch games that were part of their package.
NBC is considering a reduction in its prime-time programming that would allow local stations to reclaim the 10 p.m. time slot.
The Roku Channel has added several local NBC News streams and other channels to its free service.
NBC will debut a new Friday night comedy block this upcoming fall.
NBC’s telecast of the Tokyo Olympics drew its smallest audience in nearly three decades.
Additional news content providers, including Telemundo, are said to launch at a later date.
The NFL ended months of anticipation when it announced news broadcast and cable distribution deals that cover television rights to its football games.
