Former KCRA reporter Adrienne Bankert to hold book-signing event in Sacramento

A national morning news correspondent who spent nearly a decade working in Sacramento will be returning to the River City this weekend for a book-signing event.

Adrienne Bankert, a national correspondent for ABC News who makes frequent appearances on the network’s flagship morning news program “Good Morning America,” has authored a new book on how character and kindness helped her forge new relationships and take advantages of business opportunities.

“Kindness isn’t merely about getting along with people and being nice,” a summary of Bankert’s new book says on the Barnes and Noble website. “It’s a game changer in business, the door-opener to opportunity, and the key to authenticity and confidence. It’s a superpower that can be honed through an intentional lifestyle of kindness and is especially important in these divisive times.”

Bankert is best known in the Sacramento area for her time at KCRA-TV (Channel 3), where she worked as a traffic anchor from 2004 to 2006, then as a morning news anchor until 2012.

She spent three years working for CBS station KTVT (Channel 11) in Dallas before joining Los Angeles ABC station KABC-TV (Channel 7) in 2015. A short time later, she made the jump to network television news, where she has worked ever since.

Bankert will be in Sacrament on Saturday, June 27 for a book-signing event at Family Books & Gifts in North Highlands. The event will start at 11 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. Social distancing measures will be in place.

Bankert’s new book is published by HarperCollins Publishers, LLC, a subsidiary of News Corp. The book is available to order now on Amazon in hardback and Kindle versions and at other bookstores nationwide.
