Customers in several European countries reported problems accessing Disney’s blockbuster streaming service Disney Plus on Monday.

An apparent outage hit the streaming service late Monday evening, affecting customers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and several other countries.

On Twitter and Facebook, subscribers said they were encountering an “Error 83” message, which Disney says could be the result of “a device compatibility issue, connection error or account issue.”

The most likely reason for the outage was an issue with a server used by Disney Plus to distribute content in Europe. Disney has not commented on the matter publicly, and a spokesperson has not yet returned a request for comment.

Movies and shows that were downloaded to a user’s device did not appear to be affected by the outage.

The issue seemed to be resolved by early Tuesday morning.

Disney Plus is operated by the Walt Disney Company.
