The networks include the Ion Television network, which was acquired by the E.W. Scripps Company for nearly $3 billion in 2020. DirecTV Stream is the first streaming nationally-available streaming television service to carry Ion Television

Along with Ion Television, two other Scripps networks — Bounce TV and Grit — are also joining the line-up. Ion Television and Bounce will become the official home of the Scripps National Spelling Bee this summer; previously, it aired on cable sports channel ESPN.

Comcast’s comedy and drama-centric broadcast network Cozi TV will also join the line-up of channels offered on DirecTV Stream, the company affirmed on Monday.

DirecTV Stream offers dozens of nationally-distributed broadcast and cable networks starting at $70 a month.
