Comcast has integrated SiriusXM Pandora’s flagship linear radio service into its X1-powered set-top boxes, the companies announced on Tuesday.

Comcast Xfinity customers with X1-powered TV or Flex boxes will now have access to the streaming version of SiriusXM Satellite Radio, which offers over 400 digital music and talk channels (on-demand video, which is available in the SiriusXM smartphone and tablet apps, was not available on the app when The Desk tested it on a Flex box on Tuesday). The app is also available on XClass TV sets, which are powered by Comcast’s X1 platform.

Existing customers can use their streaming radio credentials to enjoy SiriusXM’s music and talk programming, while new customers will be offered a three-month trial to test the service on their TV sets.

“SiriusXM offers an extensive array of content and is a great addition to the growing catalog of apps available across our entertainment platforms,” Sudhir Muralidhar, an executive in charge of Comcast’s app ecosystem, said in a press release. “With today’s launch across X1, Flex and XClass TV, our customers can now enjoy all their favorite music channels, podcasts, live news and more from SiriusXM on the biggest screen in their home, seamlessly integrated alongside all their other entertainment.”

In addition to the Comcast digital and streaming boxes, the SiriusXM radio app is available on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV), Apple TV and Roku. The service is also offered through the SiriusXM app on iPhones, iPads, Android phones, Android tablets and on Amazon, Google and Sonos smart speakers.

As of May, SiriusXM Pandora said it had around 32 million paying subscribers to its radio service and another 2 million customers who are receiving service as part of a promotion.
