ABC has launched a new free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel with reruns of “General Hospital” in honor of the soap opera’s 60th broadcast anniversary.

The channel, called General Hospital Spotlight, launched this week via the ABC website and the network’s apps for phones, tablets and smart TVs. General Hospital Spotlight requires no cable or satellite login and is completely free to access.

The ABC app offers a number of other general entertainment FAST channels, including a 24-hour feed of the 1990s sitcom “Dharma & Greg,” the unscripted reality show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” game show streamer “Fun & Games” and “Supernanny.”

In addition to its entertainment offerings, ABC also offers eight local news feeds from its owned-and-operated stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Fresno and Raleigh-Durham, as well as the national “ABC News Live” channel. Check out ABC’s various FAST channels by clicking or tapping here.

General Hospital Spotlight is not the only FAST channel on the market for fans of soap operas. Disney competitor Paramount Global also offers a streaming channel full of classic CBS soaps, including “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” with those shows available on Pluto TV Soaps.
