NBC is bringing one of its comedy-themed free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels to Samsung TV Plus.
The channel, SNL Vault, became available early Wednesday morning through the Samsung TV Plus platform on Samsung-branded connected TVs, phones, tablets and other smart devices. SNL Vault is also available through the Samsung TV Plus website for those who want access to that channel and others, but who don’t have a compatible Samsung device.
It appears to be the first time NBC has brought one of its entertainment FAST channels to Samsung TV Plus, though it isn’t the first NBC FAST channel to debut on the platform overall: Through a long-standing partnership between Samsung and NBC, Samsung TV Plus has offered access to NBC News Now and several NBC-owned local news streams for a few years.
SNL Vault aggregates clips from the iconic sketch comedy program “Saturday Night Live,” with more than 40 years of amusing bits and fan-favorite performances running on the channel.
Samsung TV Plus has more than 500 FAST channels of content ranging from entertainment, lifestyle, knowledge, films, news, music and kids programming. The service is available across all modern Samsung connected devices, including smart TVs, Galaxy-branded phones and tablets, and other screens.
