
Fox News Digital outperformed the digital platforms of CNN and the New York Times with total multiplatform views during the third quarter (Q3) of the year, according to Comscore data.
The data shows Fox News Digital’s total multiplatform views were nearly 5.3 billion, a 1 percent increase on a year-over basis, compared to 3.822 billion views on CNN.com and 4.878 billion on the New York Times.
Fox News Digital — which includes the websites of the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Weather and related apps and social media platforms — also saw the biggest lead in terms of multiplatform minutes consumed at 3.153 billion, compared to CNN’s 2.003 billion and the New York Times’ 1.663 billion, Comscore data showed.
It was the 43rd-consecutive month that Fox News Digital had higher multiplatform views and minutes relative to CNN and the New York Times, its two closest online competitors. The company also led news brands with average views per visit in September, clocking in at nearly 3 views per visit.
On social media, Fox News continued to be the most-engaged news brand among its competitive set, with 119.1 million total social interactions on X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and other platforms during Q3, according to data from Emplifi. The network logged a 60 percent increase in social interactions compared to Q3 2023, the data showed.
On Facebook, Fox News drove 39.5 million social interactions, while the network had 69.8 million interactions on Instagram, Emplifi data showed. Instagram and Facebook are owned by Meta Platforms. On X (Twitter), Fox News had 9.7 million social interactions during Q3.
Fox News clips are distributed on various YouTube channels, where the network had 803.7 million views, according to data from Shareablee.
