Dish Network’s streaming service Sling TV has been named the “Best Live TV Streaming Service” of 2024 by U.S. News & World Report.
The service topped its competition, including Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV and DirecTV Stream, earning a 4 out of 5 rating for its affordability, content offerings and viewing experience.
“Our mission has always been to deliver a comprehensive, flexible and affordable streaming solution,” Gary Schanman, the EVP and Group President of Dish Video, said in a statement. “This honor from U.S. News & World Report solidifies our position as the leading streaming option for viewers who want quality, customization and value.”
Sling and Dish are in the process of being acquired by DirecTV, which will effectively marry the two biggest satellite TV platforms in the country, along with their respective streaming video services. While DirecTV’s Internet-based offerings include regional sports networks, broadcast channels and cable networks at cable-like prices, Sling has taken a different approach, grouping channels through affordable bundles that start at $40 per month and go up from there.
