Charter Communications has promoted Elena Ritchie to the role of Senior Vice President of Video at its Spectrum consumer brand, the company announced on Monday.

In the role, Ritchie will oversee the teams advancing Spectrum’s video strategy, including video experience, hardware and software architecture, engineering, product and digital marketplaces.

“Elena’s deep knowledge of the video industry and her ability to translate tactically complex ideas into superior customer experiences have made her an invaluable asset to our team,” Danny Bowman, the Executive vice President of Product at Charter, said in a statement. “Heading into 2025, we will continue to move our industry forward by integrating streaming apps at no additional cost to our customers. Elena and her team will lead this initiative operationally, dramatically increasing the available content and value of our video offerings.”

Ritchie will continue to be based in the suburban Denver area, and will report to Bowman. She joined Charter from 2017 after serving as the Vice President of Video Experience at NBC Universal’s content distribution group.

At Charter, Ritchie was instrumental in evolving the Spectrum TV app and launching the Xumo experience for customers. Xumo operates as a joint venture between Comcast and peer telecom service provider Comcast.
