Apple will offer users of its Apple TV app a free weekend preview of the streaming video service Apple TV Plus, the company confirmed on Monday.
The confirmation comes after a weekend of cryptic messages that was part of Apple’s “See For Yourself” campaign on social media, which led to speculation that Apple might unlock its Apple TV Plus service for a limited time.
On Monday, Apple confirmed as much, posting to its official account on X (formerly Twitter) that streamers will be able to watch Apple TV Plus content for free from January 4th, 2025 to January 5, 2025.
This weekend, see for yourself.

Apple TV Plus is home to hit series like “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” “Silo” and “Severance,” along with original films like “Wolfs,” “Tetris” and “Palmer.”
First relegated exclusively to Apple devices like the Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac, Apple TV Plus is now available within the Apple TV app across multiple devices, including streaming platforms like Roku, Android TV (Google TV), Amazon Fire TV and on smart TVs made by Samsung and LG. Content from Apple TV Plus is also available to stream in most modern web browsers via the Apple TV Plus website.
A subscription to Apple TV Plus costs $10 per month or $100 per year, though extended free trials are available when customers purchase some eligible Apple devices or take advantage of offers through loyalty programs served by retailers like Best Buy and Target.
