Newsmax has forged a partnership with Comcast that will allow customers of Xfinity TV and Xfinity Internet to stream live cable news content from Newsmax Plus through their cable and streaming TV boxes.

Starting this week, Newsmax Plus is available as an app on Comcast’s X1 set-top boxes for Xfinity TV customers and on Xumo Stream and Flex boxes for Xfinity Internet subscribers.

Newsmax Plus costs $5 per month or $50 per year, and offers live access to the flagship cable news channel, as well as free streaming channels Newsmax 2, World at War and Newsmax en Español.

On-demand programming from Newsmax and its other channels is also available from within the Newsmax Plus app.

“We’re very excited that Newsmax Plus is now available to millions of Xfinity and Xumo customers across the U.S.,” Andy Biggers, the Senior Vice President of Distribution at Newsmax, said in a statement. “This enables us to reach a wide range of consumers, from streamers to pay-TV subscribers, all of whom can now subscribe and get immediate access to the Newsmax Plus app on their TVs.”

Newsmax Plus logged around 280,000 paying subscribers as of April.
