Comcast’s streaming service is about to get more expensive for sports fans.
Starting July 23, Comcast will begin charging $11 per month for access to Peacock Premium, its ad-supported tier that includes hundreds of on-demand TV shows and films along with live simulcasts of news and sports from NBC. The cost is $3 more than what Peacock subscribers currently pay.
The price of Peacock Premium Plus will also increase for streamers who don’t like ad interruptions, with the ad-free plan charged at $17 per month for new and existing customers alike.
The annual price of each plan will also adjust accordingly, Comcast said. The yearly price of Peacock Premium with ads will be $110 per year, while Peacock Premium Plus will cost $170 per year.
New subscribers who purchase a Peacock membership on or after July 23 will see the new prices instantly, Comcast said. Existing customers will see the new prices take effect on their next renewal date, and all subscribers will be charged the new prices from August 22 onward.
The new prices make Peacock more expensive than rival streaming services, including the ad-supported and ad-free tiers of Netflix, Paramount Plus and Amazon’s Prime Video.
Frugal streamers who are willing to watch Peacock content with ads and sacrifice access to live sports will be able to purchase a new plan in the coming weeks called Peacock Select, which will be priced at $8 per month or $80 per year.
Some Comcast customers, including those with Gigabit-speed Xfinity Internet, will still be able to get Peacock Premium for free as part of the Xfinity Rewards program, and all Xfinity TV and Internet customers can save on Peacock by purchasing “Stream Saver,” the company’s bundle that includes the ad-supported tiers of Netflix and Apple TV Plus for $15 per month.
New and existing Peacock customers can also lock in a long-term discount on Peacock by purchasing an annual subscription at the current rate of $80 per year for Peacock Premium or $140 per year for Peacock Premium Plus by clicking or tapping this link.
The price adjustment marks the third time in three years that Comcast has raised the cost of Peacock. The new price increase comes just a few months before Comcast is set to offer live NBA games through the service as part of its new TV rights package with the league.
Peacock also offers live simulcasts of NFL games played on Sunday evenings and some NFL international and playoff games throughout the season. The service will stream Super Bowl LX from San Francisco in February 2026 and reprise its role as the online platform for all Olympic events during the 2026 Winter Olympics, which also takes place in February.
