DIRECTV is now offering its streaming television app on smart TVs made by LG and powered by the WebOS operating system, the company announced on Monday.

The introduction of the DIRECTV app within the LG Content Store allows users of most modern LG-made smart TVs to watch live channels from DIRECTV’s Signature plans and genre-based packages as well as on-demand shows and movies from the channels available in their subscription without having to use a separate streaming device.

Streamers can also watch more than 100 free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels from DIRECTV through its MyFree DIRECTV platform, which doesn’t require a subscription.

“We’re excited to deepen our alliance with DIRECTV and bring another great service to LG’s webOS Smart TVs,” said Matthew Durgin, the Vice President of LG Content and Services at LG Electronics. “With the addition of DIRECTV’s acclaimed live-streaming TV experience, we’re enhancing our LG Smart TV experience and furthering our commitment to delivering exceptional value to our customers without the need for a set-top box.”

DIRECTV’s app has long been available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV) and Apple TV devices, and the company offers its own unified streaming platform through the Gemini set-top box and Gemini Air hardware, which includes a voice-powered DIRECTV remote control.

“We’re committed to making DIRECTV available on the devices consumers already use, and connected LG Smart TVs are an important part of that vision,” said Vikash Sharma, the Head of Product at DIRECTV. “Making DIRECTV available as a native app on LG TVs gives customers more choice and flexibility in how they enjoy our full lineup — across MyFree DIRECTV, Genre and Signature Packs, and TV Everywhere for satellite — through a more customized and personalized experience.”

DIRECTV’s Signature plans include a mixture of live sports, entertainment, news and local channels, plus included access to two Disney-owned streaming apps — Disney Plus with Hulu and ESPN Unlimited — starting at $95 per month. The Signature plans are discounted to $85 per month for 24 months when new customers sign up by clicking or tapping this link.

Streamers can save even more money by selecting one of DIRECTV’s genre-based packages, which revolve around news, sports, entertainment and Spanish-language networks. Those packages start at $20 per month for a limited selection of children’s networks and go up to $70 per month for local channels and sports.
