Newsmax saw its overall revenue increase by the end of 2025 as broadcast gains offset digital declines during the year, the company reported on Thursday.

For the year, Newsmax brought in $189.3 million, up 10.7 percent compared to the prior year, while broadcast-related earnings increased 17.3 percent to $153.3 million, the company said.

Higher broadcast income was primarily attributed to heathier uptake by cable, satellite and streaming providers who are now willing to pay Newsmax for the privilege of distributing its core news channel, which competes against CNN, MS NOW, NewsNation and Fox News for ratings. Affiliates fees charged to pay TV providers rose 20.2 percent to $14.9 million.

Advertising revenue also increased as more Americans tuned in to Newsmax programming during the first year of President Donald Trump’s second term in office, with ad-related earnings climbing to $104.3 million, up 16.7 percent during the year.

By contrast, Newsmax’s digital segment generated $35.9 million in revenue, down 10.9 percent from the prior year, which the company attributed to ongoing challenges in the digital advertising space and its various e-commerce businesses.

Those challenges caused Newsmax to log a $6.5 million loss for 2025, compared to a $10.2 million profit in 2024.

Broadcasting costs of revenue rose 21.8 percent to $86.5 million, while general and administrative expenses increased 40.4 percent to $56.1 million. Gross profit in the broadcasting segment rose 12.0 percent to $66.9 million.

Subscription revenue, while still a smaller portion of overall sales, continues to expand, with more than 263,000 paying subscribers to Newsmax Plus at the end of 2025. Newsmax said it is continuing to pursue new carriage agreements with pay TV providers and international licensing opportunities as part of its long-term growth strategy.
