DIRECTV is expanding its college football marketing efforts this season with a multi-campus fan activation and a separate sweepstakes offering customers a trip to the sport’s championship game in Los Angeles, the pay television provider announced this week.

The company’s “Channel Your Fandom” campaign will appear at seven college football games and related events during the 2026 season, including Ohio State at Texas on September 12 and Michigan at Ohio State on November 28.

Other stops include Boise State at Oregon on September 5, Illinois at Ohio State on September 26, Notre Dame at North Carolina on October 3, the Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on October 10 and Clemson at Duke on November 20.

DIRECTV said the campaign will also include an activation tied to the Texas State Fair and the Red River Rivalry from October 9 through October 11.

The fan experiences will feature personalized artificial intelligence-generated photo opportunities, premium giveaways, school-branded temporary tattoos and screens showing live sports, game-day content and DIRECTV product demonstrations.

The campaign is intended in part to promote DIRECTV’s Genre Packs, including MySports. DIRECTV said the sports-focused package will offer access to more than 400 college football games across major conferences this season.

The activations build on a broader sports marketing partnership DIRECTV launched last season with Duke, Ohio State, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Oregon, Texas and the United States Military Academy.

Separately, DIRECTV is using its “Perks” customer rewards program for a football-themed sweepstakes that runs through October 31.

One grand-prize winner and a guest will receive a four-day, three-night trip to Los Angeles for the championship game on February 14, 2027. (The date coincides with the Super Bowl, which will take place in Los Angeles.)

The package includes round-trip airfare, accommodations at the Beverly Hills Marriott, Champions Club tickets, a travel stipend and a tax offset check. DIRECTV said the prize has an approximate retail value of $30,000. Another 500 winners will each receive a $50 DIRECTV Visa Reward Card.

The sweepstakes is open to eligible residential DIRECTV customers who were in good standing as of August 31 and meet age and residency requirements. No purchase is necessary to enter.

More details about the sweepstakes is available to view by clicking or tapping here.
