Prediction marketplace Kalshi has signed a deal with Fox Corporation to integrate its data into various editorial and tech products.
Under the agreement, which is structured as a sponsored integration, Kalshi’s predictive data will be included across the Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, streaming outlet Fox Weather and the streaming service Fox One.
Kalshi’s predictive data will not be integrated into election coverage at Fox News, the Hollywood Reporter said on Tuesday. Instead, Fox News will continue relying on its own polling and decision desk operations.
The arrangement with Kalshi follows similar agreements made with outlets like CNBC, the Associated Press and CNN over the past few months, and comes several weeks after the state attorney general in Arizona filed criminal charges against Kalshi, accusing it of operating an illegal gambling service.
Kalshi has framed its expansion into media as a response to growing demand for data-driven insights amid what it describes as an increasingly complex information environment.
“More people are watching Kalshi’s forecasts than trading them, which says a lot: our data effectively complements news and polls,” Tarek Mansour, the company’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement.
The use of prediction markets in news programming remains controversial. Critics argue that such platforms blur the line between information and wagering, particularly in areas like politics and sports where betting is heavily regulated at the state level. While Kalshi operates under federal oversight, its ability to offer contracts tied to a wide range of outcomes has drawn scrutiny from regulators and policymakers.
Still, media companies are increasingly exploring partnerships with data and betting-adjacent firms as they seek new revenue streams and audience engagement tools.
