First reported by The Desk, Stingray acquired TuneIn last November in a deal valued at $175 million. The deal was partially financed by a new $150 million loan, with up to $25 million in additional payments based on various performance targets. At the time of closing, TuneIn had more than 75 million active listeners; the company doesn’t break out how many of those listeners are premium subscribers.

The new Stingray-powered music channels are in addition to dozens of other commercial-free and ad-supported streams already offered on TuneIn that complement the service’s thousands of AM and FM radio simulcasts and national programming feeds from partners like NPR, ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, NBC News, ABC News, Fox News Media, NASCAR, Bloomberg, iHeart Radio, Audacy and others.

Premium subscribers also have access to commercial-free simulcasts of CNN, MS Now, CNBC, Sky News, Bloomberg Radio and NBC News Now, with ad interruptions replaced with bulletins, news stories and supplemental programming from each network, offering an uninterrupted stream of news and information.

More than 100,000 audiobooks are included with a premium TuneIn subscription, spanning various genres from classics, self-help, wellness, memoirs, mysteries, true crime, romance and thrillers.

TuneIn Premium costs $10 per month or $80 per year, following a seven-day free trial.
