Fox Sports will serve as the exclusive broadcast partner of most National Football League (NFL) games aired in Mexico, including “Thursday Night Football” games, playoff games and the annual Super Bowl championship event.
The programming will be distributed through Fox’s platforms in Mexico, including Fox and Fox Plus on linear television and select content on Fox’s channels on Tubi, starting with the upcoming 2026-27 football season.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fox said the deal will give viewers in Mexico access to live games along with original production and specialized programming throughout the season. The company plans to produce four weekly NFL-focused programs for the market, including two editions each week centered on fantasy football.
The original programs will feature analysis, entertainment, news and other formats tailored to NFL fans in Mexico.
“For Fox, this alliance with the NFL reinforces our historic relationship with one of the most exciting leagues in the world and our commitment to bringing the best sports content to our viewers,” said Carlos Martínez, the Executive Vice President of Fox Latin America.
Martínez said Mexico remains an important market for the league because of its strong football fan base.
“Mexico is a market with an enormous passion for football, and we are proud to offer fans a sizeable NFL package in the country, with a robust content experience, designed to engage audiences throughout the entire year,” Martínez said.
The agreement extends Fox’s long-running relationship with the NFL into a key international market: Mexico has been one of the league’s most important territories outside the United States, with a large fan base and a history of hosting regular season games.
One regular-season game will be played in Mexico this season: A Sunday evening match-up between the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings. It wasn’t clear from the announcement on Monday if that game is part of the broadcast package.
Arturo Olive, the Director General of NFL Mexico, said the deal will expand access to league programming for local fans.
“We are excited to strengthen our relationship with Fox and expand access to NFL content for fans in Mexico,” Olive said. “The passion for football continues to grow in the country, and this alliance will enable us to connect with audiences through broad coverage, original content and a compelling season-long experience.”
