FreeCast has expanded its technology portfolio through a reseller agreement for Starlink Business services, allowing the company to offer enterprise-grade satellite broadband connectivity alongside its streaming television and digital media platforms.
The agreement enables FreeCast to combine broadband connectivity with its existing streaming aggregation, advertising technology and Platform-as-a-Service offerings as it pursues opportunities across a range of commercial and institutional markets.
FreeCast said the arrangement broadens its ability to serve organizations seeking both internet connectivity and digital media solutions through a single provider. The company plans to target sectors including multifamily housing, student housing, hotels, healthcare systems, senior living communities, municipalities, tribal broadband projects, RV resorts and rural markets.
“Connectivity and content have historically been delivered separately,” FreeCast Chief Executive Officer William Mobley said in a statement this week. “This relationship allows FreeCast to combine enterprise broadband access with streaming television, local content, advertising, community engagement, and digital commerce solutions, creating a more comprehensive offering for organizations serving large groups of consumers.”
Under the strategy, FreeCast intends to integrate Starlink Business connectivity with a suite of services that includes white-label streaming television platforms, local and regional content aggregation, Broadcast Enabled Streaming TV (BEST), community information channels, local news and weather portals, subscription management tools and advertising platforms.
The company also sees opportunities to support hospitality entertainment systems, resident communications platforms and consumer engagement tools through the combined offering in the future.
