One America News Network (OAN), a right-of-center outlet that competes against larger entities like Fox News Media and Newsmax, has launched its own subscription streaming offering with the hopes of capturing a larger portion of its target audience who prefers to watch live broadcasts online, The Desk has learned.
The new product, called OAN Live, costs $5 per month and unlocks a live streaming simulcast of OAN’s cable news channel, which gives viewers the ability to watch “more live news coverage than any other network,” the broadcaster claimed.
Same-day replays and video clips of news broadcasts and related programming are also available through OAN Live, which is accessed through the OAN website and apps for smartphones, tablets and smart TV sets. Subscribers are allowed to watch OAN’s streaming simulcast on an unlimited number of devices at once, and viewers can get a discount on OAN Live during their first year of service if they pay for 12 months in advance.
OAN offers morning and evening news broadcasts that air stories catered to conservative interest, along with commentary programs from Matt Gaetz, Dan Ball, Chanel Rion and Pearson Sharp. The channel’s programming was to be broadcast on the Voice of America overseas through an arrangement between its parent company Herring Networks and the government-supported broadcaster, though the partnership has yet to take effect amid legal concerns that Kari Lake, an advisor to President Donald Trump, exceeded her authority when she brokered the deal.
Beyond its own streaming service, OAN is distributed on cable and satellite across the country, and on streaming platforms Sling TV and YouTube TV.
