The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement with Amazon and Gray Media to offer locally-televised games from their pro basketball team this season.
The deal announced on Tuesday will allow Prime Video to stream locally-televised Hawks games in five states — Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi and Tennessee — with local broadcast coverage offered on Gray Media-owned WANF (Channel 46).
Together, the agreements will make 74 Hawks games available through over-the-air television and Prime Video during the upcoming season. The broadcasts will be produced by Raycom Sports, which is part of Gray Media. Financial terms of the agreement between the Hawks, Amazon and Gray Media were not disclosed.
The agreements follow the bankruptcy of Main Street Sports Group, the regional sports television operator that previously held local broadcast rights to the Hawks and 12 other NBA teams. Main Street’s financial difficulties forced the affected teams to develop new arrangements for distributing games to viewers in their respective television markets.
The Hawks are among several NBA franchises restructuring their local media rights arrangements following Main Street’s bankruptcy, with individual teams pursuing different combinations of broadcast television, direct-to-consumer streaming and third-party distribution. Prime Video has stepped in to offer some games displaced by the now-defunct Main Street Sports regional cable channels; DAZN has also reached separate deals to offer games from NBA teams via its streaming platform in a handful of markets.
The Hawks will open their 2026-27 regular season on Wednesday, October 21, against the Orlando Magic.
