Political and public affairs network C-SPAN will provide at least 20 consecutive hours of live coverage of the November 3 midterm elections, including results from competitive congressional and gubernatorial races, candidate speeches and reporting from more than 30 locations across the country.
The commercial-free coverage will begin Tuesday at 4 p.m. Eastern Time and continue through Wednesday afternoon, with C-SPAN hosts Greta Brawner, Pedro Echevarria, Mimi Geerges and Peter Slen anchoring the broadcast.
In a statement this week, C-SPAN’s said its primary election coverage will not feature partisan commentary or political debate panels. Instead, the network plans to concentrate on election returns, live speeches from candidates and analysis from political journalists and election experts.
Jacob Rubashkin, the deputy editor of Inside Elections, and C-SPAN congressional expert John McArdle will provide analysis throughout the night, joined by journalists from National Journal’s Hotline and The Cook Political Report. The network will also incorporate reporting from its “Road to the Capitol” initiative, which placed multimedia journalists in competitive congressional districts and other battleground areas during the 2026 campaign.
Additional coverage will come from cameras operated by C-SPAN and Spectrum News, giving viewers access to campaign headquarters, election-night gatherings and candidate appearances in more than 30 locations nationwide. Election returns will be displayed through C-SPAN’s Democracy Dashboard, an interactive results tracker that will monitor congressional and gubernatorial races as votes are counted.
C-SPAN is also expanding its election programming through an arrangement with two political commentary programs that ordinarily distribute their content through YouTube: As previously reported by The Desk, C-SPAN2 will simulcast the election-night livestream of “The Young Turks,” featuring Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola, while C-SPAN3 will carry the election-night livestream hosted by Patrick Bet-David, founder of the Valuetainment streaming network and host of the “PBD Podcast.” The arrangement gives C-SPAN viewers access to political commentary from different perspectives while introducing programming produced by established online video creators to the network’s cable television channels.
C-SPAN’s multiplex election coverage will also be available through C-SPAN’s website, which will offer live video, complete candidate speeches and interactive election maps and results powered by the Associated Press. Programming from C-SPAN is available as a live stream through the C-SPAN app with an authenticated cable, satellite or streaming pay TV subscription.
