Dish Network could soon drop Disney-owned ESPN, ABC channels
Dish Network, the second-largest satellite television provider in the United States, could lose ESPN and other Disney-operated cable channels at the start of October.
CBS (formerly the Columbia Broadcasting System) is a television broadcast network owned by ViacomCBS. In addition to the broadcast network, CBS operates more than a dozen local stations across the country as well as CBS News, CBS Sports and cable channels CBS Sports Network, Smithsonian Channel and Pop Network. Prior to its merger with Viacom, CBS also operated the premium multiplex movie services Showtime and The Movie Channel.

CBS and Time Warner Cable have ended a month-long carriage dispute that saw the removal of several CBS local and cable channels from Time Warner’s systems.
