Good news, everyone: Hulu has renewed the sci-fi adult animated sitcom “Futurama” for two more seasons.

The extended reboot of the show will see co-creators Matt Groening (“The Simpsons,” “Disenchantment”) and David X. Cohen producing at least 20 more episodes of Futurama over the next two years.

The show was revived last year by Disney-owned Hulu after it concluded its five-year run on Paramount Global’s Comedy Central in 2013. Futurama originally debuted on the Fox network in 1999, where it aired for four years.

Throughout the show’s run — including its two revivals — Futurama has managed to hang on to its core voice cast of original characters, including John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Phil LaMarr, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom and David Herman, among others.

The animated sitcom is one of several offered exclusively through Hulu in the United States. Other shows on the streaming service under the same genre include “Family Guy,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “American Dad,” “Solar Opposites,” and “King of the Hill,” the latter of which will see its own reboot land on Hulu next year.

News of Futurama’s extended run on Hulu comes just a few days after Disney affirmed its intent to buy out Comcast’s 33 percent stake in the streaming service, which will give one company full ownership of Hulu for the first time.
