Budget-friendly streaming pay television service Philo has integrated AMC Plus into its core programming package.

Starting Wednesday, new customers of Philo will be able to access the entire AMC Plus library of movies and TV series, which include original programming and licensed content from AMC, Sundance Now, Shudder and IFC Films.

The integration of AMC Plus into Philo’s core programming package comes with a price adjustment that will see new and some existing customers pay $28 per month, or $3 more than what Philo cost without AMC Plus. Those who subscribed to Philo before Wednesday will remain grandfathered in to their programming package at a lower price, though they won’t be able to access AMC Plus unless they upgrade.

“We are thrilled to welcome Philo subscribers to AMC Plus, the streaming home of so many great shows including The Walking Dead Universe, Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, Dark Winds, Mad Men, Gangs of London, and so many more,” Courtney Thomasma, the Executive Vice President of Streaming at AMC Networks, said in a statement. “This summer we will bring viewers a new series from the world of Orphan Black, the highly anticipated final season of Snowpiercer, the exciting new supernatural drama Domino Day: Lone Witch from Sundance Now, top-rated horror films from Shudder, including Arcadian starring Nicolas Cage and the viral box-office hit In A Violent Nature, and the acclaimed independent film library from IFC Films Unlimited, all bundled into the core AMC Plus offering.”

The version of AMC Plus offered through Philo’s core programming package contains short ad interruptions before, during and after TV episodes and movies. Customers can spend an extra $4 per month to upgrade to the commercial-free version of AMC Plus, which doesn’t include ads.

Some other AMC Networks channels will still have advertising, including its flagship cable networks — AMC, IFC, BBC America, We TV and Sundance — as well as a handful of free, ad-supported streaming TV channels that are offered through Philo like Thrillers by AMC, IFC Film Picks and All Reality by We TV.

When accounting for the price adjustment, AMC Plus costs less through Philo than it would on its own. The ad-supported AMC Plus plan costs $5 per month when purchased through AMC directly or via third-party partners like Roku or Amazon’s Prime Video, while the commercial-free version of AMC Plus costs $9 per month.

AMC is one of several investor-owners in Philo. Other investor-owners include Warner Bros Discovery, Paramount Global and A+E Networks (jointly operated by the Walt Disney Company and Hearst Television). Channels from all four programmers are offered through Philo’s base programming package, which costs $28 per month after a seven-day free trial period.
