Comcast has debuted a version of its Now TV streaming service that offers more than two dozen Spanish-language channels without a traditional cable TV subscription.
The service, called Now TV Latino, is a variant of its budget-friendly Now TV streaming service that offers 25 Spanish networks as well as premium access to Peacock for $10 per month. The service is available to subscribers of Xfinity Internet throughout Comcast’s service footprint, starting this week.
“Now TV Latino is easy to add to any Xfinity broadband products, offering customers new ways to save money on streaming entertainment via the nation’s best and most reliable network,” said José Velez Silva, the Vice President of Multicultral Strategy, Operations and Community Engagement at Comcast.
Some of the channels available through Now TV Latino include:
- Caracol Television
- Centro América TV
- Cinelatino
- Estrella News
- Kanal D Drama
- Pasiones
- Telemundo Noticias Ahora
- Telemunco Noticias California
- Telemundo Noticias Florida
- Telemundo Noticias Noreste
- Telemundo Noticias Texas
- TV Dominicana
- Viendo Movies
- WAPA America
Many of the channels available through Now TV Latino are free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) networks that are also available on Comcast’s streaming platform, Xumo Play, but a handful are broadcast or cable networks that would typically require a traditional pay TV subscription to receive.
With Now TV Latino, Comcast is targeting a fast-growing population of cord-cutters who speak Spanish as their primary or secondary language. Historically, TV and film fans who want non-English content have had few streaming services to choose from, with Sling International and Vix being among the small handful of streaming options available.
Customers who purchase Now TV Latino will also have access to a handful of other Comcast streaming bundles, including Xfinity Stream Saver, which offers access to Apple TV Plus, Peacock Premium and Netflix with Ads for $15 per month. When purchased with Now TV Latino, the price of the bundle is $25 per month. Subscribers can also bundle Now TV Latino with the English variant of Now TV, which will unlock 40 more channels like AMC, A&E, History Channel, Lifetime and Xumo Movies for $30 per month, or take all three services — Now TV, Now TV Latino and Xfinity Stream Saver — through a special “Now TV Latino & Now Stream Saver” bundle that costs $40 per month.
Just like Now TV, the new Now TV Latino service is accessed through the Xfinity Stream app, which is natively integrated into Comcast Flex and Xumo Stream set-top boxes. The app is also available on connected TV platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV) and Apple TV. Those without a dedicated connected TV or streaming TV device can lease one Xumo Stream Box for free when they add Now TV Latino to their Xfinity Internet subscription.
