Nexstar Media Group’s CW Network will remain a broadcast partner of the Pac 12 through at least the 2030-31 season under a new agreement announced Wednesday.
The deal extends the network’s relationship with the conference beyond its current two-year pact, which runs through the end of the 2025 football season.
Under the new contract, the CW will televise 13 regular season football games each year starting in 2026, along with 35 men’s basketball games, 15 women’s basketball games and the semifinal and championship rounds of the women’s basketball tournament. Pac-12 Enterprises, the conference’s in-house production unit, will continue to produce the telecasts, totaling 66 events annually.
The Pac-12 is undergoing a major rebuild that will officially take effect during the 2026-27 season. The reconstituted conference will include Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State. All nine schools approved the extension with the CW.
“The Pac 12 has been a key partner in the success of CW Sports, and we are thrilled to solidify our relationship with the conference for an additional five years,” Brad Schwartz, the President of the CW Network, said in a statement. He added that the network has already seen strong engagement around Oregon State and Washington State football and was looking forward to showcasing the additional members of the new Pac-12 to a national audience.
Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould said the extension builds on the success of the conference’s broadcast arm and provides exposure across the country.
“The Pac-12’s partnership with the CW has been one of mutual growth and transformation,” Gould said. “I am excited for the continued growth of both the CW and the Pac-12 in the years ahead.”
The CW’s involvement with the Pac 12 began in 2024, when it carried select football games. The network’s most-watched game of that season was a matchup between Washington State and Oregon State in Corvallis. That contest and others helped deliver the three highest-rated college football broadcasts in CW history, according to the network.
