Fox News Digital was the leading digital news brand across multiple key metrics in July, topping the websites of CNN and CBS News in monthly unique visitors for the first time, according to data from Comscore.
The platform drew 92.4 million desktop and mobile unique visitors in July, edging past CNN.com’s 90.9 million and CBSNews.com’s 87 million. Fox News Digital also recorded 3.9 billion total multiplatform minutes and 1.9 billion total multiplatform views, the highest among news brands in both categories.
CNN saw sharp year-over-year declines, with multiplatform views down 42 percent, multiplatform minutes down 53 percent and unique visitors down 31 percent — its lowest traffic month since February 2015. The Fox News Mobile app attracted 6.5 million unique viewers in July.
On YouTube, Fox News led the competitive set with 332 million video views, followed by MSNBC with 318 million and CNN with 209 million, according to Emplifi. NBC News, ABC News, CBS News and The New York Times trailed with 165 million, 121 million, 51 million and 6.2 million views, respectively. Fox Business generated 66 million YouTube video views during the month.
Fox News was also the most engaged news brand on social media in July, delivering 98 million total interactions, up 134 percent from a year earlier and 14 percent from June. That included 71.8 million interactions on Facebook, up 436 percent year-over-year, 21.1 million on Instagram, 4.1 million on X and 20.8 million on TikTok. Fox Business reported 456,000 total social interactions.
In business news metrics, FoxBusiness.com ranked fourth in its competitive set with 224 million multiplatform minutes. The site also generated 137 million multiplatform views and 26.8 million unique visitors in July.
