Starting this month, members of Walmart’s retail subscription service Walmart Plus will be able to access a special portal for Pluto TV with a curated list of ad-free content. The portal is accessible within the Walmart Plus website or app, and customers will have to create a Pluto TV account from within that portal to get ad-free access to a handful of Pluto TV titles.
Select titles include “The Andy Griffith Show,” “CSI: Miami and “Everybody Hates Chris.” Only certain episodes of each show will be offered ad-free, and the select titles will rotate each month, the companies said.
The ad-free content is available in Pluto TV’s on-demand library, which offers thousands of movies and TV shows without a subscription. Pluto TV’s linear content streams will still have commercial breaks, even if streamers have Walmart Plus.
The Pluto TV perk builds on a partnership between Walmart and Paramount that already gifts free access to the ad-supported version of Paramount Plus to shoppers with a Walmart Plus membership.
Walmart Plus costs $13 a month or $98 a year. Streamers can get a 30-day free trial of Walmart Plus when they sign up by clicking or tapping this link.
