Cox Communications has partnered with Xumo Enterprise to integrate nearly two dozen free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels into its electronic program guide for those using Contour equipment.

The move comes several months after peer telecom provider Comcast integrated many of the same channels into its X1-powered set-top boxes. Comcast is a joint owner of Xumo, and the company’s X1 platform powers Cox’s Contour devices.

The channels available from Xumo through Cox’s Contour boxes are:

  • Xumo Action Movies
  • Xumo Action & Drama TV
  • Xumo Black Cinema
  • Xumo Bollywood & Indian Cinema
  • Xumo Comedy Movies
  • Xumo Comedy TV
  • Xumo Crime TV
  • Xumo Documentaries
  • Xumo Family Movies
  • Xumo Food TV
  • Xumo Game Show TV
  • Xumo Her Movies
  • Xumo Horror & Thriller Movies
  • Xumo Kids TV
  • Xumo Movies
  • Xumo Nature & Wildlife
  • Xumo Reality TV

“Xumo Enterprise has been syndicating and powering FAST channels on streaming platforms for years,” a Comcast spokesperson said in a statement emailed to The Desk on Wednesday. “The Xfinity and Cox launches represent an important evolution in the company’s efforts to make FAST more accessible to consumers on a growing range of connected devices.”
