As part of our ongoing commitment to produce original journalism and analysis on the business of media, The Desk on Monday launch a new portal that centralizes its news articles on quarterly and annual financial earnings from publicly-traded tech, media and telecommunications firms.
The launch of the new Media Earnings portal, available by clicking or tapping here, coincides with the start of a new season of financial earnings from the tech, media and telecom sectors, which begins Tuesday with reports from Netflix and AT&T and concludes in mid-November with a report from the Walt Disney Company. The latest articles from the Q3 earnings period will also be available through a dedicated section on The Desk‘s homepage.
Readers can browse through our archive Q2 reports and analysis during the first two weeks of our Q3 earnings coverage period. Covered companies include broadcasters like Nexstar Media Group, Sinclair, TEGNA, the E. W. Scripps Company and Gray Media; major media companies Paramount Global, Warner Bros Discovery, Lionsgate and AMC Networks; telecommunications firms Comcast, Charter and Altice USA; tech companies Roku, Amazon, Apple and Alphabet; and others like CuriosityStream, SiriusXM, Newsmax and more.
On the Media Earnings portal, a top-line notification bar will alert keep readers informed on the precise companies that are disclosing their earnings reports each week, with new companies listed every Monday morning. An interactive widget powered by Trading View will provide regular stock updates, refreshed automatically with the latest market data and financial metrics from major tech, media and telecom firms. A mobile version of the widget is in development and will launch by the end of the month.
In addition to on-site updates, readers can sign up for free e-mail alerts to receive instant notifications when new earnings reports are published, along with highlights and key takeaways curated by The Desk’s editorial team.
The rollout of the Media Earnings portal coincides with the relaunch of The Desk‘s archive pages, which group news stories through categories like “Advertising,” “Streaming” and “Legal News” and company-specific tags accessible through buttons at the bottom of each story. A new Opinion portal with commentary and analysis from The Desk contributors also soft-launched earlier this month.
The Desk operates as part of TheDesk.net and is owned by Solano Media, LLC.
