The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) has reached a new multiyear carriage agreement with Charter Communications to expand distribution of its regional sports network on Spectrum TV across parts of Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.

Under the deal, MASN is now available to Spectrum TV customers in select areas of southeastern Maryland and Virginia, along with eastern North Carolina, giving viewers in those markets access to live coverage of the Baltimore Orioles and other regional sports content.

The network launched on Spectrum systems this week, where it is carried on channels 335 or 440 depending on the market. The rollout includes communities such as Crisfield, Maryland; Accomac, Chincoteague, Suffolk and Waverly, Virginia; and Gates County, Manteo, Roanoke Rapids and Waves, North Carolina.

Through the agreement, MASN will deliver more than 300 live events annually to newly-added subscribers. That includes every available Orioles game, along with pre-game and post-game coverage, minor league affiliate matchups and a range of collegiate sports programming. The network also carries NCAA Division I men’s and women’s events, further broadening its live sports portfolio.

“MASN is excited to partner with Spectrum and to provide Orioles fans with another option to connect with their favorite team,” said Greg Bader, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of MASN. “This new partnership will deliver O’s baseball and local collegiate sports to a deserving audience.”

In addition to Orioles coverage and the network’s “O’s Xtra” pre- and post-game programming, Spectrum customers will gain access to MASN’s wider lineup of live sports, including college football and basketball, boxing, mixed martial arts and horse racing.

“Our customers want the simplest way to watch the Orioles, and this partnership with MASN delivers exactly that,” said Tom Montemagno, the Executive Vice President of Programming Acquisition at Spectrum. “By adding MASN to our lineup, we’re making it easier for Orioles fans to follow along with every pitch, big hit and late-inning rally throughout the season and enjoy even more premium local sports programming.”
