Charter Communications and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) have extended their partnership by offering access to Discovery Plus within certain Spectrum TV packages.

Starting this week, customers with eligible Spectrum TV plans can activate the ad-supported tier of Discovery Plus at no extra cost, while those who prefer commercial-free streaming can upgrade to the ad-free Discovery Plus plan for $4 per month.

Discovery Plus typically costs $6 per month for the ad-supported tier of $10 per month for the ad-free plan when purchased independent of a Spectrum TV package.

“The inclusion of Discovery Plus extends the value Spectrum TV delivers to customers with more choice and flexibility in what and how to watch,” said Tom Montemagno, the Executive Vice President of Programming Acquisition at Spectrum. “We’re meeting customers wherever they are by bringing live TV and streaming together so they can enjoy Discovery Plus and other popular apps without managing separate subscriptions and with built-in cost savings.”

“Our partnership with Spectrum allows us to put Discovery Plus in front of millions of customers in a way that fits naturally with how they already watch TV,” said Scott Miller, the President of Networks and Streaming Distribution at WBD. “By making Discovery Plus available as part of Spectrum TV Select and giving customers without a traditional TV plan the ability to purchase à la carte, we’re extending the reach of our world-class portfolio and making it even more convenient for fans to watch their favorite home, food, true crime, relationships and lifestyle programming as part of their existing Spectrum experience.”

Spectrum TV customers on eligible plans already have access to the ad-supported plan of HBO Max, WBD’s other streaming app, as well as network-owned streaming platforms like the Disney Plus-Hulu bundle, Fox One, AMC Plus, the Tennis Channel, Paramount Plus and Peacock.
