American Airlines has rolled out a new perk for passengers on board domestic flights, offering free access to the Fox One streaming service just in time for the FIFA World Cup men’s soccer tournament.

The offer is available to members of American Airlines’ customer loyalty program AAdvantage, who will be able to stream content from Fox One while on board all domestic flights with Wi-Fi connectivity.

“Through American’s newest partnership, AAdvantage members can experience the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Fox One wherever they are,” American Airlines Chief Marketing Officer Caroline Clayton said in a statement. “The FIFA World Cup 2026 is all about connection, energy and unforgettable moments and AAdvantage members can follow the tournament across multiple flights, with more opportunities to watch the full slate of Fox sports, news and entertainment programming on Fox One.”

American Airlines said passengers will be able to access Fox One content without having to sign up for the app with a credit card, with complementary access offered up to seven times in a calendar year.

All 104 matches from the FIFA World Cup men’s soccer tournament will be made available to AAdvantage members who are connected to American Airlines’ in-flight Wi-Fi service via the Fox One platform, which will aggregate games from the Fox broadcast network and Fox’s two cable sports channels.

“We are excited to partner with American to bring Fox’s full portfolio of best-in-class programming to viewers when they want it and where they want it, at home or in the air.” said Tony Billetter, Fox’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for its Direct-to-Consumer business. “We look forward to delivering this year’s most anticipated sporting event, the FIFA World Cup 2026, along with Fox’s leading news coverage and premium entertainment in our exclusive Fox One viewing experience to their most loyal travelers.”

The in-flight Fox One perk unlocks 24 hours of access to the streaming service, after which passengers can extend their access by purchasing a Fox One subscription for $20 per month. The free access period must be activated while on board American Airlines planes and while connected to the carrier’s in-flight Wi-Fi.

The FIFA World Cup tournament kicks off on June 11.
