Fox News has launched a new digital platform aimed at giving its viewers a candid look at the channel’s journalists, personalities and shows.
The platform, called Fox News Now, rolled out earlier this month across a number of social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and Instagram.
The platform offers “an up-close look at how television’s most-watched cable news network comes together each day,” the network said in a statement.
“From candid moments with anchors and correspondents to exclusive glimpses of breaking news coverage and life behind the camera, Fox News Now gives fans a new way to connect with the people and stories driving the headline,” Fox News said.
One of the first videos uploaded to Fox News Now featured “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier musing about some of the most-memorable interviews of his career, including a 2010 conversation with then-President Barack Obama around the time that the president was pushing his Affordable Care Act measure.
The conversation with Obama was limited to just 20 minutes, and a White House aide was in the corner of the room keeping time with a countdown clock, Baier said.
“Two questions in, I was halfway done with the interview and, at some point, I decided either I have to press or this is just going to be fruitless as far as getting answers,” Baier noted.
In another conversation, Carley Shimkus of “Fox & Friends First” offered viewers a look at her daily routine as she prepared for the early morning show.
The launch of the new digital channel continues an expansion of social-first programming produced by Fox News, which already includes two YouTube channels dedicated to clips from the network’s news shows.
Fox News Media, the umbrella organization that operates Fox News, also runs a number of social media channels for its other ventures, including Fox Business Network and OutKick.
The new Fox News Now channel is available to view on YouTube by clicking or tapping here.
