Fox News remained the most-watched news brand on YouTube in May, extending a lead over its cable and broadcast competitors while also finishing the month as the top news organization for social media engagement, according to data from Emplifi and other intelligence providers.
Fox News generated 338.8 million video views on YouTube during May, more than any other news outlet and over three times the audience of several broadcast news competitors, Emplifi data showed. The performance marked the fifth-consecutive month that Fox News ranked first among news brands on the platform this year, though it was down from the 471.9 million video views Fox News achieved in April.
Versant-owned MS Now (formerly MSNBC) finished in second place with 212.8 million video views (down from 304.4 million in April), followed by CNN with 154.1 million views (up from 203.3 million views). Among broadcast news organizations, ABC News recorded 105.7 million views (down from 119.3 million views), while NBC News generated 82.4 million (down from 115.2 million views) and CBS News delivered 37.6 million views (down from 62.6 million views).
The strong YouTube performance also extended to Fox News’ short-form video channel on YouTube: Fox News Clips attracted 34.9 million views during the month, representing an 18 percent increase compared with May 2025.
The Fox Business Network continued its dominance among business news brands on YouTube: Fox Business recorded 40.8 million video views during May, according to Shareablee, marking its 55th-consecutive month as the top-performing business news brand on the platform.
Beyond YouTube, Fox News also led the industry in social media engagement across major platforms: Data from Emplifi and Comscore Social showed Fox News generated 79.3 million interactions across Facebook, Instagram, X.com (formerly Twitter) and TikTok during May. Facebook accounted for the largest share with 38.1 million interactions, followed by 20.4 million interactions on TikTok. Instagram contributed 15.8 million interactions, while the network recorded 5 million interactions on X.com.
Collectively, Fox News content generated 1.3 billion social video views during the month, underscoring the network’s continued focus on digital distribution as audiences increasingly consume news content through social and video platforms.
