ABC News Live is expanding its streaming lineup with three new programs built around interviews, legal coverage and health reporting as the network looks to serve audiences across its various digital platforms.
The new shows include “All Access with Linsey Davis,” “Burden of Proof” and “Doctor’s Note,” the network said this week. In addition to its flagship streaming news channels, the programs will also be distributed through the ABC News Podcast Network, extending them beyond video streaming.
The slate is designed to reflect audience interests and real-time data, with programming focused on trending topics, high-profile court cases, health questions and interviews with newsmakers, ABC News executives said in their announcement.
“Streaming gives us the ability to respond to our audience in real time,” Seni Tienabeso, the Vice President of ABC News Live and Specialized Units, said on Tuesday. “This new programming is built around the people, stories and topics viewers are actively searching for, pairing timely reporting with trusted experts and meaningful context on what’s driving today’s headlines.”
“Burden of Proof” launches August 17 and will examine prominent trials and other legal proceedings. The daily program will be hosted by ABC News correspondent Ike Ejiochi and Perry Russom, a correspondent and weekend morning co-anchor at WABC in New York City. They will be joined by ABC News legal analysts and other experts.
The show will begin with coverage of the murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who is accused in the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur. ABC News released a preview August 14 focused on jury selection and the background of the case.
“All Access with Linsey Davis” will premiere in September. The weekly 30-minute interview program will be hosted by Linsey Davis, who anchors the Sunday edition of “World News Tonight” and “ABC News Live Prime.” The show will feature conversations with politicians, celebrities, athletes and other prominent figures. “Doctor’s Note” will be hosted by Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Tara Narula and medical correspondent Dr. Darien Sutton. The show will examine medical questions, health trends and popular claims while providing guidance and context from medical experts.
ABC News also highlighted “Searched,” which started streaming in April. The show uses data from search engines and social media platforms to identify topics generating significant public interest and explain why those stories are gaining attention. “Searched” is hosted by “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor and transportation correspondent Gio Benitez and ABC News correspondent Ashan Singh.
ABC News Live is available on most popular free streaming platforms, including Paramount’s Pluto TV, Xumo Play, Fox-owned Tubi, Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Sling Freestream, YouTube and The Roku Channel. The network is also carried by some subscription TV providers like DIRECTV, YouTube TV, Fubo and Hulu with Live TV.
An audio simulcast of ABC News Live is available to SiriusXM subscribers with SiriusXM 360L tuners in their vehicles and customers with access to the SiriusXM app.
