Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) has signed an exclusive multi-year distribution deal for content from Warner Bros Discovery’s (WBD) film unit Warner Bros Pictures.
The deal will give OSN rights to films like “Barbie,” “Wonka,” “Dune: Part 1,” “Dune: Part 2” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” along with some Max originals like “Dune: Prophecy” and “The Penguin” in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The agreement also includes some CW Network originals as well as shows from Warner Bros Network like “Rescue: Hi-surf” and “Emperor of Ocean Park,” which will be available to subscribers of OSN TV and OSN Plus in MENA.
“Today we strengthen our longstanding partnership with Warner Bros Discovery with yet another exclusive deal that will further expand OSN Plus and OSN TV’s content libraries and bring the studio’s biggest global films and new Max Originals to our platforms first,” said Joe Kawkabani, the Group CEO at OSN.
The agreement with WBD will make OSN the exclusive distributor of content that would otherwise appear on Max, the cornerstone streaming service of WBD that is currently being rolled out internationally. The deal means WBD will not bring Max to MENA territories served by OSN for at least several more years, suggesting the company’s full focus is on international distribution in Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America.

The deal builds on an existing agreement that makes OSN the exclusive television distributor of HBO content in MENA.
