Vice President Kamala Harris has agreed to participate in a sit-down interview with the Fox News Channel’s Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier later this month, the network affirmed on Monday.

Baier will conduct his interview with Harris on Wednesday, October 16. It marks the first time Harris has agreed to an interview with Fox News, the network said.

The interview will be conducted in the swing state of Pennsylvania and air during “Special Report with Bret Baier” on October 16 at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The program is “home to the largest and most politically diverse audience in cable news, averaging 2.3 million viewers and 233,000 in A25-54 with more Democrats and Independents tuning in to Baier than any show in its time slot,” a network spokesperson said.

Fox News regularly scores the highest ratings across all major cable news networks, with its daytime slate of hard news programming and prime-time line-up of political commentary shows. It had the biggest viewership with simulcasts of the CNN and ABC News presidential debates earlier this year, according to Nielsen ratings.

The Fox News Channel is operated by Fox News Media, a business unit of Fox Corporation.
